Company Background

ABOUT US

Our existing company MultiMedia Systems® was created in 1994 and consisted of a team of professional Engineers headed by the Owner who has in the past worked as a Transport Manager, Machine Engineer and Setter, Also a Co Partner and Director in the a Magazine, Newspaper, Printing and Distribution Company (Media Link Ltd) not to mention working for BSkyB plus much more prior to starting SatUK®, AllSat® and MultiMedia Systems® the current company.

The story of MultiMedia Systems® began much before this, with a personal interested in TV Satellite and Radio transmissions. When we heard about Satellite TV in the 1980's we became interested as enthusiasts.

So we studied the industry intensively and found that the industry had much to offer and yet not many suppliers were around especially in the south of England, there were some dealers who just lied to customers and gave false information and goods that just did not work and also charged an arm and a leg for this equipment.

We saw there was a need for a company that live up to its name, honest and trustworthy not to give customers false information or charge extortionate prices for the equipment and installations.

So we started supplying and installing aerial and satellite systems back in 1982 for mainly Italian customers who received free to air channels from 63.0 deg east and English customers who could receive cable channels free to air from 27.5 deg west, In 1983 we installed our first motorised satellite system, at that time we operated as SatUK ® and then in 1990 changed our company name to AllSat ®, We then moved into our a showroom at Gillingham Kent in 1994 and renamed our company to our current name of MultiMedia Systems® this was because we knew even then that the future of the satellite and aerial industry will eventually become fused with the computer industry and would be called MultiMedia Systems.

From here we created our first Mail Order catalogue and started full page advertising in national magazines including What Satellite TV, Satellite TV Europe and What HIFI, Etc, from then supplied all satellite and aerial equipment on a Mail Order basis throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe.

We still pride ourselves on being one of the first companies in the UK to offer a fully operational multi-satellite system and a showroom demonstrating many different makes and models of receivers and channels of all languages, and able to advise customers on all aspects of satellite and aerial equipment.

Also in 1994 we Signed up with Sky TV (BSkyB) and supplied and installed Sky Analogue Equipment then Sky Digital, TiVo, Sky Plus and now Sky HD.

Plus in 1994 We became a sub contractor for BSkyB installing Sky Equipment for Sky TV throughout Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Essex And London Area's and installed well in excess of 150,000 installs for BSkyB.

In 2001 we added a range of Computer Products and Equipment to our catalogue of Products we now also supply and build computer systems at very competitive rates.

In 2004 we moved to new premises in Rochester Kent, We also started selling Flat Screen TV Equipment including brackets and cables; we can fully install your flat screen TV on any wall, ceiling or surface at very competitive prices.

We DO NOT sell what a client doesn't need - that means your best interest is at hart and we'll listen to you at all time.

When you ask us what is the best satellite receiver or system we will answer honestly and truefuly even if the equipment is less profitable for ourselves as we will only sell the equipment you require and not try to con you out of your money like some companies in the satellite industry, also you do not have to purchase from us to get our professional advice on what you need.

We do not up sell, or con customers into paying more money for equipment or services they do not need or want, we do not employ engineers on a commission basis where they have to sell as much as possible to earn a crust, therefore you can be guaranteed we will only charge the price you are quoted for the equipment supplied and installed and the price you are quoted will be the price you pay, and that's a promise.

We do not only supply to domestic customers, but also commercial customers, we can supply, service and install of all satellite and aerial equipment from a basic Sky Digital domestic system to a fully motorised multi satellite commercial system.

We have now a very large retail customer base some 50,000 strong and range from basic Sky Digital customers to the Fully Motorised Satellite Enthusiast as well as having many retail clients we have a number of Trade customers who buy from us on a regular basis, for instance we supply receivers and dish equipment plus install for the Chinese channel, also amongst our client base is Audi UK, Definition Ltd, Government Buildings, MI5, Royal Army, Virgin Cable, Eurobell cable, Philips, Sky TV, Sky Business, BSkyB, Hotels, Pubs, Clubs, Property Management Companies, Shops, Cost Cutter Stores, and many more.
